Ann Mack Abbott has spent her life immersed in both the art and equestrian worlds. Formerly the Director of the Modern Museum of Art and later the publisher of one of the world’s largest equestrian print magazines, she now brings these two passions together through fine art photography—completing a lifelong circle.

BEHIND THE LENS
Ann Abbott’s work captures the spontaneity and motion of the natural world. Using a unique in-camera technique developed through years of experimentation, she composes each image at the moment of shooting—without digital manipulation. Her practice is rooted in a pursuit of raw immediacy, athleticism, and spirit. Anything less, she believes, would be unfaithful to nature at its most majestic.
